Weekly Updated Photo Series

736M - That's the title of this photo series. It represents 736 million sentient beings that we kill every week*. This staggering number moved Alexandra S. Aderhold to initiate this weekly updated photo series. It serves as a reminder of the victims of the world's largest and longest-lasting form of exploitation and discrimination, one in which most people are involved: speciesism (moral exclusion based on species). The photos document everyday situations in which Alexandra has come across dead or exploited animals and their remains.

*Every SECOND, at least 73,000 animals lose their lives due to our ruthless exploitation. Sources for these numbers and further explanations can be found in the free e-book.
